artist statement

Material, alchemy, fragments, feedback loops, and loss—these are the foundations of my practice. My work is a long-term investigation into the cyclical fragmentation, breakdown, and reconstruction of material, where destruction is not an end but a generative state. I engage with processes of decay and transformation, embedding time into material as both an active force and an imprint.

I reference the geologic and the archival—earth, fossilization, excavation, and preservation—concepts that speak to both endurance and erosion. My work operates within a feedback loop, where remnants of past forms are reincorporated into new compositions, blurring the boundary between ruin and renewal. Each iteration carries traces of its previous state, mirroring the way memory embeds itself in objects, shifting and reconfiguring over time.

At the core of my practice is a deep interest in how material becomes a vessel for encoded memory. Through a synesthetic interplay of texture, form, and surface, I explore how objects communicate beyond language, provoking a visceral response that resists fixed interpretation. In this way, my work is an ongoing excavation—of material, of process, and of the fragile imprints left behind.
